The 14th Army WAC Band
Celebrating and Exploring the History

The Women’s Auxilliary Army Corps (WAAC) Band came into existence during World War II.  In fact, at one time there were five WAAC bands.  At the end of the war, all of the bands were deactivated.  Shortly thereafter, the 401st Army Services Band was reactivated as the 14th Army WAC Band.  It comprised five enlisted women and one Warrant Officer.   The band continued to grow in size, popularity, and stature until 1978 when, along with every member of the Women's Army Corp,  it was integrated into the regular Army.

This web site is dedicated to those members who helped change women’s role in the military and society.  Please explore and find out about reunion concerts, the documentary, and many other fascinating facts.
